An important document in the history of Bay Area design, capturing a crucial moment in the development of California Architecture when the indigenous styles and imported European elements -- both contemporary (International Style) and earlier influences (Beaux Arts through Maybeck, Morgan and others) -- were being melded into a truly unique regional signature.
