The General Lighting Company was Merit Specified for the Case Study House Program in the late 1940s, and George Nelson contributed several anonymous lamp and sconce designs during the 1950s. Harry handler also showed a good eye for graphic design, hiring Ladislav Sutnar (via Sweet’s Catalog Services) for early catalog design and production, and Louis Danziger and Ray Komai for print advertising.
